REKA 1.0 Launch Completes the Story and Expands Cottage Building
The REKA 1.0 launch completes the story on PC. Explore cottage-building tools, autosave history, the separate demo and the latest Steam access notice.

Version 1.0 is available on Windows PC
The REKA 1.0 launch took place on October 26, 2026. Emberstorm Entertainment's announcement says the final chapter is ready to play, and the current Steam page lists the full release for Windows PC. Fireshine Games and Shochiku are credited as publishers.
For players who waited for the story to reach its conclusion, that is the central change. The release follows Early Access, which began on September 12, 2024. A completed narrative and the practical state of the software are still separate questions; the launch notice and a later access update address different parts of that picture.
A witch apprenticeship connects the story and the cottage
Steam describes REKA as a single-player, combat-free adventure focused on exploration, crafting and decorating. Reka learns from Baba Jaga, meets villagers and travels with an enchanted chicken-legged cottage. The store's description includes foraging, cooking and animal companionship.
Those activities explain why the release can interest different readers for different reasons. Someone following the apprenticeship wants the concluding chapter; someone drawn to the traveling home wants to understand its construction tools. The presence of both does not tell us how long either activity will hold a particular player's attention.
The house-building summary names concrete editing tools
The 1.0 announcement lists new wood types and clay, bulk building or deletion by dragging, a rotation-indicator compass, improved snapping and roofing. It also describes additional items for the cottage.
Consider a hypothetical sketch with a row of identical wall pieces and a roof above it. Placing repeated pieces, orienting the next section and removing a mistaken run are separate editing tasks. The documented tools address those jobs; they do not establish that every elaborate design is valid or effortless to construct. Our example illustrates the editing questions rather than a layout we tested.
Autosaving has an earlier update history
The launch summary highlights background autosaving and adjustable frequency. Emberstorm's October 8 patch had already re-enabled automatic saving and added its frequency option. That earlier patch also described compressed map saves and conversion of existing saves when first opened.
Keeping those dates visible helps a returning player interpret an older instruction or memory of the interface. The 1.0 overview brings together the current feature set; it should not make every saving improvement sound newly introduced on October 26. Check the available saving setting against the version actually installed before assuming the earlier prompt-based behavior still applies.
A later notice addresses access problems for existing players
The October 26 follow-up says some existing players had problems accessing the 1.0 build. The team states that it believes the issue should now be resolved and asks anyone still affected to report it through the announcement comments or its linked Discord.
That wording supports a reported resolution, with room for remaining cases. It does not establish that every account successfully downloaded the update. If your experience differs, describe whether the problem is obtaining the update or something encountered after launching it. Those are distinct symptoms, and the official notice supplies the relevant feedback route.
The demo remains a separate sample
Steam currently offers a separate REKA demo. Its September 29 announcement describes the first chapter, woodland exploration and the beginning of cottage construction. The October 26 full-release post supplies the separate confirmation that the complete story is available.
Use the sample to examine the pace and building interface that interest you, while retaining its content boundary. A demo listing alone does not promise the complete adventure or a particular save-import result. The linked notices establish release status and documented features; this report does not claim a completed playthrough, measured performance gain or tested transition from demo to full game.
