PEAK’s PS5 Release Date Is October 22, With Crossplay Announced

PEAK is scheduled for PS5 on October 22, 2026. Here is what Team PEAK announced about crossplay and included content, plus what to check before launch.

A confirmed date for the PS5 version

PEAK’s PS5 release date is October 22, 2026, according to an October 15 PlayStation Blog announcement by Landfall community lead Hanna Fogelberg. The climbing game is a collaboration between Landfall and Aggro Crab. As of this article’s October 17 publication, that PS5 launch is still ahead; this is reporting on an announcement, not a review of the finished console version.

Landfall’s own homepage also promotes the October 22 console arrival. The dated PlayStation announcement is the source for the PS5-specific details here. Keep those two dates separate when sharing the news: October 15 is when the announcement appeared, while October 22 is the scheduled release.

Crossplay is part of the announcement

Fogelberg says crossplay will allow a player to climb with up to three friends across platforms. That describes a group of up to four people including you. The announcement also says the PS5 edition includes content updates, biomes and items added since the original launch, and describes options for customising a run’s difficulty.

Those are developer statements about the planned release. We have not independently tested a PS5-to-PC connection, matchmaking, controller behaviour or performance. An announced capability and a verified session are different evidence, especially before a port is available.

What the climbing game asks you to do

Landfall describes a solo or cooperative journey by stranded scouts trying to reach an island’s summit. Players can help companions onto ledges and use ropes or climbing spikes. Food, injuries and stamina complicate the ascent. The developer’s game page lists online cooperative play and offline single-player.

The same page says the island layout rotates every twenty-four hours, allowing repeated attempts at that day’s route. That makes the idea of returning to a known obstacle part of the game’s appeal: a group can discuss where its previous attempt broke down, rather than treating every failure as a demand to move faster. That last observation is our reading of the design, not a measured claim about players.

Make a short checklist for your group

Before arranging a launch session, agree on who is joining, which device each person will use and how you will communicate. Then check the current store page for each person’s account region. Confirm that you are looking at the correct platform edition and that its purchase or access conditions suit everyone involved.

The sources reviewed here do not establish a universal regional price, a precise unlock hour or every platform-service requirement. We therefore do not quote those as settled details. A useful invitation can simply include the official announcement and a plan to confirm the remaining conditions closer to October 22.

Keep online co-op and same-device play distinct

Landfall’s description of online co-op should not be read as a promise that four people can share one console in split-screen. If that particular setup matters to your group, look for an explicit statement from the developer or the relevant store rather than inferring it from a player-count label.

The distinction matters beyond PEAK. Our own free browser games state their available modes: some are solo, some use one shared device, and four offer private online rooms. A multiplayer label becomes useful only when everyone knows where the other players need to be and what joining actually requires.

What to revisit when October 22 arrives

On the scheduled day, return to the official sources and check the actual release status before treating the port as available. For a cross-platform session, verify that everyone has the intended edition and any required updates. A future patch or change in availability should be assessed on its own evidence.

While waiting, the related article on cooperation explores how shared objectives create coordination problems. For an immediately playable break, our local two-player Chinese checkers game offers a different challenge with clearly stated rules; it is a separate browser game, not a PEAK demo or an affiliated promotion.
