Foundations is available on console and PC

Focus Entertainment and Saber Interactive released the RoadCraft Foundations Expansion on November 3, 2026. The publisher's release notice lists PS5, Xbox Series X|S and Windows PC through Steam and the Epic Games Store. Foundations is a paid add-on for the original RoadCraft and the third major DLC for the construction simulator.

The October Driver's Diary set the November 3 date in advance. Focus's release notice and Steam's dated product listing confirm it arrived. Steam's Mexico listing showed the add-on available to buy in MXN on November 4. The launch notice describes a regular paid release, with no limited-time claim period.

Pile driving gives construction a new first step

The expansion adds piles and concrete as resources. Players produce and transport concrete piles, then use the tracked ALCES PL30C to drive them into the ground. The Voltrack MX transports the concrete supply and the Voltrack Mk11 pumps it into a prepared foundation. Those are separate jobs for separate machines.

A foundation assignment therefore gives you two kinds of transport to plan. The pile driver has a job once the piles reach the site. A concrete pour still depends on getting the mixer and pumper into place with a supply of material. Reaching the work area with one specialist vehicle completes only its part of that sequence.

Spring Renewal and Oasis Delta have different jobs

Both new maps cover four square kilometers. Spring Renewal draws on the Netherlands, with windmills and farmland in a region rebuilding roads and industrial sites after a storm. Its projects include work connected to a new green-energy hub.

Oasis Delta takes the equipment to North Africa. Steam's description places it in a region recovering from a tornado, with port restoration and the task of reconnecting isolated areas. The patch notes also call out a large satellite dish and archaeological sites. The two maps place the same foundation tools in different kinds of recovery work.

Four new machines and three vehicle variants

The patch notes break down the seven additions as four vehicles and three variants. The new machines are the pile driver, mixer, pumper and EPEC MAG240 magnetic crane. The crane handles multiple pieces of metal debris or recyclable material at a time, a distinct job from pouring a foundation.

The variants are the Aramatsu R1 Asphalt Roller, the Derry Longhorn 4520 Heavy Hauler and the Isonzo M1 Service Vehicle. The heavy hauler has a wider trailer for carrying larger equipment. The service vehicle provides mobile support and recovery functions.

Update 8.0 includes changes to the HUD and existing systems

The accompanying RoadCraft Update 8.0 notes list an Immersive UI option in Game settings, an additional controller layout and changes to winch input. Focus and Saber also list improvements to road planning and AI routes, a fix for demolished buildings losing their state after a relaunch and a correction to a toy truck progression counter.

The patch notes mix improvements to existing systems with content for the new maps. The two regions and their foundation work are the main reasons to look for the Foundations product. A returning player interested in the interface or a progression fix can start by checking the installed game version and its settings.

Check the Year 1 Pass before buying

The official patch notes explicitly exclude Foundations from the Year 1 Pass. If you already own that pass and want to play Spring Renewal or Oasis Delta, check your platform's library for a separate Foundations entitlement. On Steam, the listing also requires the base game on Steam.

Start with the store on which you own RoadCraft. The add-on listing tells you which content your account can open. The version number tells you which update your installation is running.
