How to play BackgammonStep-by-step · Controls · Rules

Your goalBring all fifteen checkers home and bear them off before your friend.

  1. Roll the dice, select a checker and choose one of its legal destinations.
  2. Use the remaining dice. Turns end automatically after all dice are used; choose Pass blocked turn if no remaining move is legal.
  3. Gather all your checkers in your home board, then move them off with suitable dice.

ControlsUse Roll dice, checker selection and highlighted destinations. Use Select bar for a captured checker and Bear off to remove a legal home checker.

Rules & scoringRe-enter captured checkers from the bar first. Use both dice when possible; doubles give four moves. If only one die can be used, use the higher one. No doubling cube is included.
