A developer-organized event is now open

Indie Treasures Sale 2026 opened on Steam on November 1. Toukana Interactive, the studio behind Dorfromantik, says more than 200 independent studios joined the event, which runs through November 15. This is the opening of a shared showcase, rather than a new release date for every game it features.

That distinction defines the lineup: existing games, add-on content and projects still in development share promotional space. One event banner therefore covers several different kinds of availability. The studio count describes participation reported by the organizer; it does not measure sales or players.

The categories connect different kinds of play

The event page groups its selection around Cozy, Building, Action, Story and Horror, while also separating released games from upcoming projects. Those routes make the collection more specific than a single undifferentiated list of discounts.

Consider a hypothetical player interested in building. Arranging a landscape and maintaining an industrial production chain both involve construction, but ask different questions from the player. The genre headings provide an entry point; the individual descriptions reveal whether the central activity is spatial arrangement, logistical planning or something else.

Dorfromantik supplies a concrete discount example

The Dorfromantik discount is 35% on its base-game Steam listing, with that listing naming November 15 as the offer's end. Its complete-set bundle and additional content are separate products, so the base-game percentage should not be applied to everything carrying the name.

Dorfromantik is a single-player landscape puzzle whose standard tile-placement loop uses a limited stack. Successful quests extend that stack, and the run ends when it runs out. Its quiet presentation therefore coexists with decisions about limited opportunities. Someone expecting factory management should notice that its official description explicitly excludes resource management.

Star Birds remains a game in Early Access

Star Birds, another Toukana game, also participates. Its current Steam page still identifies it as an Early Access game. The factory-building project has playable content now, while its full version remains a future release; inclusion in this event does not change that status.

Its resource extraction, production facilities and transportation routes offer a different building loop from Dorfromantik's tile placement. A useful comparison is what occupies the next decision: fitting a landscape edge, or connecting the processes that supply a station. That difference matters when comparing colorful screenshots: similar presentation can conceal very different demands on attention.

Bongo Cat separates its free base from paid extras

Irox Games confirmed its participation and announced a promotion for Bongo Cat DLC. The current base-game Steam listing remains Free to Play. A promotion for additional content therefore should not be read as a newly discounted entry price for the base application.

Bongo Cat responds to keyboard and mouse activity with its desktop cat and collectible customization. That makes it a different proposition again from a landscape puzzle or factory game. A reader interested in the cat itself and another interested in an add-on are looking at distinct products, even when both arrive through the same event page.

The shared deadline still leaves individual conditions

The event's published Steam schedule ends November 15 at 18:00 UTC. Individual product listings remain the place to confirm an offer's own deadline, contents and regional price. The shared event dates do not establish an identical offer for each game, edition or bundle.

The three example Steam pages list Windows and macOS support, with their own requirements. The announcement concerns their Steam promotion; console editions and console-store offers would need their own confirmation. Released games, optional extras and unfinished projects remain different categories throughout the event.
